Vintage Vegas Photos

Enjoy this collection of vintage Vegas photos. It doesn’t take long for Las Vegas to change.  The Las Vegas strip is always changing with new bars, restaurants and resort casinos. Thankfully we can look back at old school Las Vegas through nostalgic vintage photos.

Las Vegas Food Porn

Las Vegas is known for it’s attractions, shows, gambling and luxurious resorts but also love the food choices. When we visit Las Vegas we love trying different restaurants and trying different foods. While we are not high end foodies we do try to visit different venues. We present some of our personal photos of food and drinks from the various restaurants and food places we have visited in Vegas. We present our collection of Las Vegas food porn.

We present photos of the restaurants and places we have visited in Las Vegas to sample food. Some of the places listed may no longer be in business. Restaurants can change pretty quick in Vegas.

Carnegie Deli at The Mirage

The Carnegie Deli The Mirage is now closed but it was a stop we enjoyed on our trips. The server suggested we split our clubhouse sandwich and we are glad we did. It was massive.

Heart Attack Grill on Fremont St.

The first place we ate at in Las Vegas. The Heart Attack Grill. Burgers, fries and a few drinks. If you don’t finish your food you get a paddling from one of the servers.

The Hexx

One of the best people watching patios in town and the food is a home run. Chicken Sandwich, fries and a Vodka Caesar.

In-N-Out Burger at The Linq

Our first experience with In-N-Out Burger. We enjoyed the food but didn’t see what all of the fuss was about. We have had better and we have had worse. Still it’s worth it to give it a try.

LVB Burger at The Mirage

LVB Burger is no longer in business at The Mirage. We ate there a couple of times and I enjoyed their gourmet burgers. I do not recall what this monstrosity was called but it did the trick after a night of drinking on The Strip.

Sliders from The Still at The Mirage

The Still Sports Bar at The Mirage in Las Vegas is one place we stop at often in Vegas. The atmosphere is great for grabbing quick bites and drinks and the staff have always been amazing. The Burger Sliders are our go to but we love the wings as well.

Las Vegas Photo of the Week May 5th, 2019

This weeks Las Vegas Photo of the Week takes us to Binion’s Gambling Hall and Hotel on Fremont Street. Binion’s has been around since the 1950’s and is still going strong today. Binion’s is one of our go to places when visiting the Fremont Street Experience in Las Vegas. You can get your picture taken with Binion’s Billions which is a real stack of a billion dollars (enclosed in glass). We also recommend Top of Binion’s Steakhouse which sits on the 24th floor and over spectacular views of Las Vegas. It is a true Old School Las Vegas dining experience. We recommend the Chicken Fried Lobster.

Las Vegas Photo of the Week April 20th, 2019

Pool season in Las Vegas is right around the corner. This weeks Las Vegas photo of the week is a shot of the pool at Treasure Island in Las Vegas. The photo is from our May 2017 stay at Treasure Island. We had an amazing view of the The Strip and view of the pool area. We ended up renting chairs right in the bottom left corner which was a perfect viewing spot for the day. The chairs at Treasure Island were only $10 which is a bargain compared to most other pools. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing pool experience in Las Vegas this pool might not be for you. It had a pretty decent party vibe. We have quite a few pool pictures which we will include in a future post.

Las Vegas Photo of the Week March 23rd, 2019

This weeks Las Vegas Photo of the Week is a view from our room at The Bellagio last December. The fountain views and water views are much sought after in Las Vegas people often forget how pretty the mountain views are. Our Bellagio view looked out over the pool area but also had a great view of the mountains, The Rio and The Palms. This photo was taken just after sunset. What is your favorite view in Las Vegas? Mountains, The Strip or The Bellagio Fountains?

Las Vegas Photo of the Week March 3rd, 2019

This week’s Las Vegas photo of the week is one the more popular bars on the Vegas Strip. The Chandelier Bar at The Cosmopolitan. There are actually three parts to the bar as they are located on different floors within The Cosmo.  The bars are located on the ground level, 1.5 and level 2 and each has different hours of operation as well as a unique cocktail.  For example. “The Flower Drink” is a favorite drink enjoyed by many at the level 1.5 bar.

Las Vegas Photo of the Week Feb 23rd, 2019

This weeks Las Vegas Photo of the Week is a shot of the Aria Casino and The Aria Tram that travels between the Bellagio and The Park. This photo was taken way back in 2015 during one of our great and memorable stays at The Aria. We have stayed three times at The Aria in a regular room, strip view and in a Corner Suite. If you want a pampered and spoiled stay in Las Vegas then The Aria is exactly what you are looking for. There are upscale dining experiences, a relaxed gaming floor and one of the best buffets in town. Since is one of the newest resorts on the strip in Las Vegas is has a state of the art ventilation systems for those that love a smoke free experience.

If you want more information on the various free trams in Las Vegas please read our The Free Tram System in Las Vegas post. We break down each of the free tram routes and give you the times they operate as well as a map to help you out.

Las Vegas Photo of the Week Feb 16, 2019

This weeks Las Vegas Photo of the Week features a Las Vegas Strip icon. The Eiffel Tower at The Paris. We took this photo on a nice sunny morning on our trip this past December. The Eiffel Tower at The Paris in Las Vegas is only one half the size of the real tower in Pars. We have been up to the observation deck a number of times. It’s a great way to get a view of The Strip and more importantly The Bellagio Fountains. Look for a Groupon or Travel Zoo deal for tower admission.

If you want to see more photos and get more information please see our Eiffel Tower Experience Las Vegas post. We review our experience in visiting the observation deck as well as provide some great information and tips about visiting The Eiffel Tower in Las Vegas.

Las Vegas Photo of the Week Feb 2, 2019

This update of our Las Vegas Photo of the Week we bring you a shot of the Eiffel Tower at The Paris. We happened upon this mid morning in December as we were crossing the bridge from The Cromwell to Bally’s Casino. The sun had set just perfect behind the Eiffel Tower and reminded us of some ritual or event from an apocalypse movie. We have some great GoPro footage of the event but haven’t had time to clean it up yet.
