Las Vegas Photo of the Week April 20th, 2019

Pool season in Las Vegas is right around the corner. This weeks Las Vegas photo of the week is a shot of the pool at Treasure Island in Las Vegas. The photo is from our May 2017 stay at Treasure Island. We had an amazing view of the The Strip and view of the pool area. We ended up renting chairs right in the bottom left corner which was a perfect viewing spot for the day. The chairs at Treasure Island were only $10 which is a bargain compared to most other pools. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing pool experience in Las Vegas this pool might not be for you. It had a pretty decent party vibe. We have quite a few pool pictures which we will include in a future post.

Mirage – Treasure Island Tram Closed for Repairs

Update: The Tram is now open again as of 2018/11/04

View our Free Trams in Las Vegas Post for more information.

The handy tram that links The Mirage and Treasure Island is officially closed for repairs. A few people on social media were reporting that the station at The Mirage was boarded up but it wasn’t clear how long it was down for. When we stayed at T.I. last May it seemed to be down a few times but mostly later at night.

The Yelp Page states that: “Mirage-Treasure Island Tram is temporarily closedScheduled to reopen on October 8, 2018.”  And we came across a post on a site where a person had called and confirmed the time frame. Hopefully it’s either early or on schedule as it’s gem for getting back and forth between the two properties and across to properties like The Wynn.

When it was down we walked. We walked past the tram area and in between the parking garages and across the road to T.I. There were lots of other people doing the same walk, otherwise at night I think I would have opted for heading out to the strip.
